Job Description Cost Accountant Benchmark Electrical Solutions-Windsor, CO Electrical Contractor is seeking an experienced Cost Accountant. This position includes job costing, project specific invoicing, A/R, monthly financial statements, cost tracking per job including assisting Operations Manager and running reports as needed. Will report directly to the President and Operations Manager. Knowledge of QuickBooks PC a must. Requirements: Extensive knowledge in Quick Books for Contractors Microsoft Excel Outlook Accounting Processes General ledger Accounts payable Billing and accounts receivable Payroll – Performed weekly in multiple states Fixed asset inventory Financial Performance Reporting Produce accurate, timely financial statements Operating budget Capital expenditure budgeting Key performance measure setting and progress reporting Financial health indicators Determine and produce specific financial performance information and other statistical performance data needed by each department (in conjunction with other departments) Chair monthly financial performance review/forecast meetings with the management team. Interpret financial data Cash Management Credit, collections and deposits Accounts payable management Day-to-day banking transactions Investment of surplus cash Working capital requirements analysis Capitalization requirements analysis Cash flow projections and analysis Cost Expenditure Analysis Help develop and monitor internal controls to identify profit leaks Continually correct internal control deficiencies Continually conduct special cost analyses to identify cost reduction potentials Credit card reconciliation Personnel Support Employee records Paid Time Off Tracking, Garnishments, onboarding and Termination reports Payroll reports including W2, 941, Davis Bacon Other government reports Benefits processing – Enter employee deductions and pay invoices only for insurance. Make weekly 401K contributions Administrative Office Support Purchase office supplies Office equipment planning, purchase, maintenance and inventory Requirements planning Janitorial Repair/maintenance Answer phones Front Desk – Assist vendors and clients who come through our front door. Additional requirements that are mandatory Notary Knowledge and experience with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel Knowledge of laws and requirements of multiple states.
